I just switched over from Sprint (galaxy s3), to Verizon (droid turbo).
Is it me or is there no blocking mode available on the phone. I'm not seeing it anywhere in settings. This is a must for me having a 2 month old and a light sleeping wife I need to have phone muted from 10pm to 8am and setting up blocking mode aloud this to be done very easily.

Re: Blocking mode

Try Dock Clock from the Play Store.

Re: Blocking mode

Inside moto you can set sleeping hours when you don't want disturbed, even set which contacts you want to be allowed to call through during sleep hours.

As far as blocking cant help ya, i miss that from note3.

Re: Blocking mode

Thanks russel that's what I was looking for. Will this also block my alarm app though. The alarm app still worked on booking mode on the samsung galaxy

Re: Blocking mode

The alarm will still go off during sleeping hours set in the Moto app, even third party alarms (I use timely)

Re: Blocking mode

I use a app called silence premium. I used the one for iPhone and the ones on Samsung but I found this app and I like it better. I like it because I have to allow certain numbers to reach me at all times which the built in ones do. It differs in that it allows you to pick texts to come through also which I need.

It also allows to to set it to silent automatically based on key words in your calendar which is helpful to me.

I'll have to try that app out. I think every app that gives notifications with sounds should have some type of blocking mode built in. I need some alerts from hangouts and text messages that the moto blocking mode blocks out.

Does anyone know if there is a way to activate Sleep Mode without setting specific times? A quick on/off setting - similar to Blocking mode on my previous S3. The times I need to use this always vary and I can't find an easy way to turn it on or off on the fly.

Did you find a solution to this? I also had an S3 and just upgraded to the Turbo. I work night shift and the Blocking Mode on the S3 was a lifesaver. I downloaded the free version of Silence Do Not Disturb and will try that, but was really hoping for something similar to the Samsung Blocking Mode.
