I stopped in a Verizon store today and asked if it might be on display and it wasn't so I asked if I can come by on friday and pick one up.. 2 of the reps had a confused look on their face, said it wont be available in store and they would have to order it.. I laughed inside.. I'll be there on friday..

I stopped by my Verizon store and got some hands on time with it. I liked how it felt even though I couldn't turn the phone on. No complaints about the size at all. Yes, just one speaker at the top.

I bought my maxx last year at 9:05 am on launch day and the rep I dealt with was fantastic. It was very professional, he asked me once about accessories but didn't press when I said no thanks, and I was out the door with the phone at 9:25 am.

Oh they're fine but I can't stand the long activation process I can do at home in minutes.

How did you like the ballistic nylon fabric? Also is that frame around the phone plastic or the MGF frame?

That fabric is only on the back like you see it in the picture. I liked the feel of the phone a lot. I thought that it was going to be slippery but that was not the case at all. When I went into the store I just asked to see a dummy unit but the lady went in the back and pulled out the real thing. I just couldn't turn it on. As far as if the frame is plastic or not it didn't feel like the same frame as the Moto X 2014 edition. I think that it was plastic. I really wasn't feeling for that. The lady was right next to me. I didn't want her to notice me taking these pictures.

That's good. I was worried that the nylon was going to be slippery. However that's a shame about that frame though. I was really hoping it would be anything other than plastic. I just hope they don't run into issues with some of the creaking. Thanks for the info though.

I'm pretty sure I read on official Moto website that the Turbo has a "high quality metal frame." I could be wrong... Or maybe it was taking about the metal frame under the kevlar.

Seeing as how even the "higher up" rep I talked to on the phone didn't even know about the phone... the general public doesn't know either.

True. But if this Turbo release is anything like the OG Verizon Galaxy phone (Fascinate) or even the OG Droid release... Then my fellow Americans will be inundated with non-stop TV, Internet, radio and print ads about the Turbo starting with Thursday night football

I think Verizon is gonna advertise the heck out of their pet project phone. They will need to with all the recent flagship competition that is out or will be out soon.
