I got my note 3 last week and there is a little chord in the box that looks like a black string with metal attachments at each end. I thought it was to attach to s Penn or something like that...I know I will probably feel stupid when you fill me in on it's purpose, but I have never used a wristlet or anything so I'm not sure how to utilize this chord.

The more I think of it, it kinda looks like it should hook to a lanyard or something like that....I don't know how it would attach to phone tho...maybe just attach to case? I got phone at Verizon. I wish it would have come with the earphones instead...I can always use those.

Re: Little string?

Maybe that was accidentally dropped into your box at the store? Did you buy any accessories with your phone?

Looks like something that would come with some cases, the string would tie into a slot on the case

Was your box sealed? Maybe it was a return and the previous owner left that when the phone was returned.
I had a Verizon rep try to sell me a phone as new that had obviously been used or handled extensively in the store.
The phone, instructions, etc, were not packed right and there were fingerprints all over the screen.

Box was sealed and it was in it's own little plastic pouch like the stylus replacements come in...I watched him open New box...oh well at least it's kind of a fun game...the holster case I have has no place to attach this and of it did what would I attach the other end to? It's very small. Oh well good for a laugh any way.

Re: Little string?

It looks like the lanyard that comes with the neo-hybred case.

I did buy a case, but not the neo...I do now think perhaps the rep may have just put the lanyard attachment, if that's what it is, in the box before bagging it up for me. He probably just put it in the phone box instead of the covers box. Thanks for the replies.
