Verizon Note 8 - Messaging Issues

I can send messages to a single person without issue but once it is a group/MMS text message it fails. In any given day I can send MMS for about 15 minutes and then it just fails after that, then I have the ability again, then it fails again so it is some cycle that is happening.

I have tried switching apps (Android Messages, Textra, Samsung Messages), I've deleted MightyText, I've turned wifi on and off, I've turned mobile data on and off. I've reset my phone. I've updated all of the apps.

I am at a loss and I don't see much on this issue out there.

Thoughts?
 
Hmm, this is a strange issue. I was going to suggest switching to a third-party messaging app; but you've already done that, I see! Did you have these MMS problems with previous phones? What about others who are using MMS message sending in your place of residence?
 
No one else has issues, this happens at home and at work in two different locations so I know it has to be the phone versus location. I am in a group chat with my wife and a couple friends and I am the only one that disappears for extended amounts of time. All on verizon as well.
 
This is just one of those things that is JUST annoying enough to make you want to throw the phone.
 
There's an entry on Textra's release notes about this. They claim it is a nugat problem. Please look for it in the "What's New" 3 dot menu in Textra. Look for 14 July 2017.

I don't know if what they say the cause is real, but at least it is an explanation of sorts.
 
I agree with the suggestion above to call support.
I send group messages a lot with no problems.
 
This is just one of those things that is JUST annoying enough to make you want to throw the phone.

I can definitely understand how frustrating that must be for you! As another user stated, you should contact Verizon customer support.
