It seems Verizon is making it harder and harder for people to exchange their phones with anything but another fascinate.
Sorry to hear that. When I replaced mine, I got the name and e-mail of the tech who handled the exchange. I love the Incredible and today I e-mailed him asking if we could exchange my wife's Fascinate too. He e-mailed back asking if the second Incredible should be sent to the same address as the first. He said he'll be out of the office tomorrow, but can overnight it on Wednesday so we'd receive it on Thursday. No questions asked, he couldn't have been more helpful, from not even bothering to have me troubleshoot my Fascinate to this. It's been a very pleasant surprise given some of my previous dealings with Verizon.
