Verizon- pie update?

Used Odin and updated yesterday morning. Went very smooth, no hiccups. So nice to be on Pie now. Loving"dark mode". Everything is working. AOD, tap is working perfect for me.

I updated my Verizon Note 9 using The XDA instructions and it worked flawlessly. I did not factory reset. The only thing I did was clear System cache in recovery before and after the install... every thing is working fine for me. havent run into any issues. I'm loving Dark Mode as well.

Again, they and we are asking about the Note 9 because this is a Note 9 forum. We know the S9 already has it from Verizon.

I suspect the S9 and other non Note 9 owners are just attempting to rub it in. I refuse to believe they are so inattentive to not know which forum they are trolling.

Hello, I have a few questions. It may have been already answered and I apologize. If you don't have the update from Verizon yet. I am seeing people are getting it another way. Will this prevent you from getting future updates from Verizon if you get it the other method? Also would it prevent you getting service if you accidentally brick your phone? I am beginning to get impatient on this update from Verizon.

No you won't brick your phone with the SD method it's officially and yes you will continue getting updates

If your on ARL1 it's simple go to Samsung firmware science put your device and find that file ARL1 tap and should show you CSAA now download that to your computer and copy it to your sd card restart your device before it restarts hold at same time bixby, volume up,power button release once you see options to update from SD card use the volume button to scroll and power button to select once you select that file in SD card wait 15 to minutes and your phone will restart and you'll be on pie
