Verizon- pie update?

Does anyone know of this downloaded update has bricked anyones note 9 and will this void any warranty?

does not brick or void your warranty
this is official Samsung firmware
the worst it can do if you do something wrong is stop and restart your device

are there any differences in the sideloaded version and what will be pushed out directly from Verizon?

Ok stupid question #2 lol I got a SD card today moved file to it renamed it before moving it but can't seem to find it when I go into reboot mode and hit apply update from SD card

There are no stupid questions

Did you make sure it's named "update.zip" this is how it would look using your file manager on your phone?

Make sure the file is on the root of your sd card and not in any folders.

Do you have to actually download the other ATT files or can you just install from the zip file? I am confused by the instructions on XDA

If your on ARL1 just put on SD card and boot up in recovery .

Hello everyone. I recently got rid of my iPhone xs max for the 512gb note 9 on Verizon and I'm really loving it. I've been back and forth with Android and iOS for many years but I think this time I can honestly call Android home. But I've been wondering how do I get the pie update now. I've been waiting for a while and now I really want to update it. Thanks in advance.

Welcome! I had the Max and sold it. Love the Note. In the very beginning of this thread are all the instructions you need. You basically download the file, locate it then rename it to update.zip, move it to the root directory of your SD card. Then put the phone in recovery mode to update...but like I said all the instructions are in this thread. You get the file from firmware.science.

VZ Note 9 - Downloaded file from Fimware.Science (faster). Renamed it to update.zip, place it on root of my SD Card, booted into recovery and waited. Takes a while and seems to stay at Patching system image after verification for awhile.

I didn't do a wipe and so far everything seems to be working.
