Verizon- pie update?

Pie running well on a Note 9 Verizon. Will monitor while the updated OS settles down the next week or so regarding battery efficiency and performance.

Has anyone with Verizon service gotten the pie update? I just spoke with a Verizon Rep and was informed that the update is in process of being rolled out. Apparently they roll them out by IMEI numbers in batches.

I had a headache with a failed update and the only way to get it fixed was for me to go to a Samsung facility (in NYC) and have them do something and then load pie. However, whatever they did made the phone like a brand new phone except with all my icons and programs (but I had to login again to everything I use). I now have Pie.

But, all the things that I had read Pie can do, don't seem to be on my Note 9 with Samsung. I am talking about the 'screenshot' icon that is supposed to be on the menu when you press the power button or the volume button showing vertically. I have not idea if 'slices' is working or how to use it.

I guess what I would like to know from the community is if there is a place that shows you how to activate, if necessary, and use the new features. I have been looking for a couple of days and can't seem to find anything. Most of what I find shows what their phones can do, not how to get them to do it.

Thanks in advance.

I took the update and I'll see how the battery life is. I don't care for some of the changes, it moved the time at the top to the left and the Gallery has changed as well. We'll see how it goes.

I also noticed that the photo editor is gone from the 'gallery' when looking at the pictures. Any idea how to get that back or do I have download a photo editor from Google Play? If so, what are the best ones?

I've been running Pie before Verizon pushed it out and have no issues editing a photo. See the image below.Screenshot_20190321-042238_Gallery.jpeg
