Verizon Pixel XL In Hand

How are the speakers in comparison to the 6P's dual fronts? That is one of the reasons why I'm on the fence with getting a Pixel.

I'd say slightly worse than the 6P. Although I usually use a Bluetooth speaker (soon to use Google Home :P ) so this wasn't a deal breaker.

By advanced calling, do you mean HD voice? If so yes, that was turned on with data at the same time. Ranging from 104 - 107 dBm. Which again, I have no clue if that's good or not. :)

Yes, that is what I meant. Thanks for reporting!

Yes, I would like to hear about signal quality too, and if you were able to set up the basic Verizon visual voicemail.

You might be following the Verizon vvm thread where I posted this, but you can toggle between carrier and Google Voice vvm. I don't subscribe to Verizon vvm, but when I turn it on a couple of really old messages I had from a previous trial populated. When I toggled Google Voice vvm (which I currently get through Hangouts) I wasn't able to get those msgs to populate in the dialer. But Verizon vvm did populate with no problem.

Ah, got Google Voice to work in the dialer too. Had to go into Google Voice settings and toggle "View and play voicemails from the phone call log".

I believe the google store pixel with a Verizon SIM card will not allow you to use data and make a phone call at the same time.

I also got my Verizon Pixel XL today. Absolutely loving it. Fastest and smoothest phone I've ever used. Quick question - how do I get the weather to show on my home screen instead of the date?

Does the boot animation have any verizon screen included in it? Or is it just the Pixel boot up animation?

Asking for an opinion from those that have one of the Pixels. Do you think this will be competitive with a Sammy to customers that aren't familiar with Google/Nexus/Pixel phones? Would a hand in hand comparison persuade someone to look past the Sammy name?

Also to anyone that looked at the Pixel in a VZ brick and mortar. Did the salesperson talk up the Pixel? What did they say positive or negative about it?

My local VZW store is a retail store but they do not have them in stock. They said it is a special order only for them. Kind of sucks because I like to look hands on before buying. They did not even have a demo!

Can you get into Dev options from the Settings menu? I could not on the store demo i played with today. It could have been because of Demo Mode, I don't know.

They did not say anything about it, other than it was new. I didn't ask them any questions, so maybe they assumed I knew about Android phones and left me alone. They were too busy showing people Apple products, Samsung products, selling stupidly overpriced accessories, and helping someone exchange a Note 7.
