Verizon pre-order thread

I just spoke with Verizon. I noticed my delivery address was wrong when viewed with the My Verizon app and wanted to straighten that out before shipping.

Glad I did. The agent informed me that my order was in the warehouse and that I would receive txt msgs with it's progress moving on.

I'm surprised they were able to change the address. Everyone I tried that with Verizon they told be that they can't change address once the order to submitted.
 
I got my pair of S20+'s yesterday (Monday). But, neither of them will activate yet, and according to Verizon, it's because their system shows both as still in transit (not yet delivered), despite UPS having updated their status mmediately. As of Tues, both still won't activate. So for some of us, (if this is common) we may have gotten the devices early but they are useless until Verizon's systems catch up. Has this happened to anyone else that got their phones early?

About 15 mins after I posted this I received a msg that my order was cancelled due to the fact the "new address" was ineligible. All I did was tell them the address they had was not correct as I entered it on my order at midnight on 2/21. I have the confirmation e-mail to prove it. I had entered the right address (which is my workplace) and instead of using the 6th floor, they entered apt 6. That is the right address on the confirmation e-mail I received. The last time this happened I had to head over to the UPS depot on the westside of NYC to pic up my phone. What a PITA!!

I call back for further assistance and had the the supervisor reinstate the order. Then I received an e-mail that the label has been cut. Of course it has the wrong address again. Oh well, Verizon. Your move....

Supposed to get my ultra Thursday.. Verizon did me wrong this time, I've always gotten it from FedEx but now UPS for some reason. But my trade-in box is arriving tomorrow from FedEx yay 😒

I don't understand this trade in box arriving separately business. I've traded in my past 2 phones to Verizon and the box was collapsed inside the shipment with the new phone. I've never received a separate shipment of just a small box for the trade in?
 
Verizon delivering any ultra 512 yet. I haven't heard a word from best buy on the one I ordered. The ultra 128 I ordered thru Samsung is arriving today. Just curious as it was appearing the ultra 512 was in short

I have two questions for you guys. One, is a signature required for all of our phones? I am worried about being home to sign for it. Two, I ordered my S20 Ultra last night and it said delivered by 3/6...I just got the notification that the phone shipped but on the UPS tracking info it says "2-day by 8p". However, the tracking info isn't showing anything other than the service used yet. I am just hoping to get it tomorrow and not Monday...Monday I will forsure miss the delivery if a signature is required.

Every time I get a new one I have had to sign for it. I'm waiting for my S20 ultra today from UPS to sign for it as well.

Not so nice it turns out. Sometime in the afternoon I received a msg the status changed and my order’s address had changed. This morning I was greeted to the update shown below. Despite what I was told regarding that my address “correction” was updated, my order was cancelled by someone and the phone was rerouted to Texas!!! I was told Verizon refused to deliver to phone to my business and will only accept orders to my home. This after I was told all was well and the package was on the UPS truck for delivery. Verizon customer service lied/never communicated to me I am really pissed off.

I got up to place the pre-order ion Feb 21 and received an order confirmation. After it shipped, I called Verizon to correct the mis address on their part and now I was told I could re-order the phone with a April 17 date if I wanted to stay home to receive it. I paid for the phone so why could they not ship it to the correct address as promised. Sorry I work and cannot be home just to receive a package. I have ordered thousand of dollars of IT equipment sent to me successully, so what is the problem????

I spent this over three hours this morning with Verizon service and UPS attempting to fix this , but no dice. In total I have spent over seven hours in an effort to resolve this , but to no avail. I intend to contact the Verizon Senior Vice President Group President of Consumer Sales and Service to discuss the worst case of customer service I have ever seen I started in 1983. I am not going to let this go. I have not received ANY communication from Verizon regarding my complaint and doubt I will.

I am done. Shame on you Verizon. You should be ashamed.

Unfortunately I have been thru this before. They will not usually change the shipping address after the order is placed, they have been like that for years.
 
I agree but I gave them the correct address and received my confirmation e-mail with the correct address.

When I received the device was shipping alert, it had the wrong address. I only called them to correct their error.
