Newbie question: Can this phone be unlocked? I'd like to use it with Straight Talk BYOP. (Straight Talk uses Verizon towers in my service area, and is less than half the cost of using Verizon!) I would sincerely appreciate any help!

My understanding is that it is already unlocked. For StraightTalk Verizon, my understanding is that you have to use only select phones. StraightTalk att or tmobile might work though. If you need Verizon's network, you can use PagePlus, but You would have to flash your phone for it to work on pageplus
