Verizon release date

Yep, my screen protector is peeling off as well only on the curve. Funny, how even the protector was curved for that very reason!

The Edge brings a new OS experience as I said before and I am not using any folders in the Edge panel, they just don't look good and aren't as necessary. It's nice to see the actual apps line up.

So I just retired my Note 2 and will decide to sell it to VZW or privately. It's in like-new condition and runs like new too. Frankly using both Note 2 and Note Edge side by side I could tell only a tiny performance increase on the Edge. BTW, I do miss the wave gesture that's on the Note 2 that brings the phone to life without touching it. It is a very cool feature.

On the Edge, of course you can rub the edge panel and it will show time and date and weather (if you leave your location on at all times). But it's not as cool as the wave.

We definitely need more cool options for the Edge panel.

If you go to "accessibility" and then "dexterity and interactions" there is an "air wake up" similar to the wave on the note 2

Did Verizon steal the headphones out of the boxes again? I think all the other carriers have them with their Galaxy Note Edges. If so does anyone know of a good replacement?

i don't care what anyone says, this concept and this phone is a game changer. i don't even think samsung realized it. the question is ,have they patented the edge screen or can you even do that?. if so, samsung has hit gold. i am an IT professional and receive jobs via txt msg and the edge notification bar is invaluable. i know the phone has been out for a month, but i intentionally never really looked at one on another carrier just so i could see what it could do for myself; when i could actually own one. information is also invaluable and the ability to interpet info without picking up the phone is revolutionary. i think apple better start thinking, cause samsung has got something her if it is patented. iphone is so yesterday and everyone has one.

I don't think it was patented as LG showed a phone at CES with a similar side displays on both sides of the phone.

I am considering this but will wait to see what the S6 brings.

Wish I could flip the notification texts the other way so I could place it on the table with edge facing me and read any notifications. Minor annoyance and I knew that going in. Hopefully someone comes up with an app to fix that. :)

You have to have your overall phone's screen rotation on, then select the rotate 180 degrees option in the Edge screen settings. Once you close your phone cover or put the phone to sleep, turn the phone upside down and it will make the Edge screen readable from the right side of the phone.

How to adjust the system or notification tone? It's not where it supposed to be, which I think should be under sound...

Thanks!

There may be a difference in carrier versions, then. I have the AT&T Note Edge and I can adjust both the Notifications and System sounds under Settings>Sound>Volume.

Went to the Verizon store today to get the screen protector and case. I ordered mine online. Turns out, the inventory they got from yesterday is all gone so, they are all sold out. Seems like its a bigger hit than they realized.

Wife and I got our Edge's from FedEx today, I am in love. This is my first Note after owning Galaxy's. Edge notifications are amazing and the battery life is pretty fantastic. Still in the early stages but definitely not regretting anything.

Got a spare battery and charger from a best buy. The guy gave me the charger and batter for a Note 4. Will it work (even though the Edge is a 3000mAh and the 4 is 3220mAh)? Anybody know if I get the actual 3000mAh will the Note 4 charger still work? Or, will it over charge the battery and kill the life?

chargers are pretty much the same if they are indeed Samsung quick chargers. The batteries are not the same. The Edge has a unique battery.
