My FedEx shopping info says that I'm going to get the phone tomorrow. 3/6 Is this likely?

Charged last night around 5 PM Pacific. Still processing. Ordered on 3/2.

The last new phone I received was an S8. At that time, the phone instructed you what to do (at that time, put them close to one another and they transmitted information from one to the other), then the phone downloaded all of your apps and info from google.

It should be very simple.

What are my first steps? Do I contact VZ to have them activate something? I believe the phone is coming with a sim card already installed with my number on it so I don't have to put the one from my old phone in the new phone. At what point do I do the Samsung Smart Switch to get my photos and videos sent over from my old phone to the new one? I know that once I sign into my Gmail account, I'll get all my apps installed on my new phone. If I'm not mistaken, it also imports wi-fi passwords, etc. Other than setting up home screens and wallpapers and the like, is there anything else I need to do upon receipt.

BTW the phone is coming on Thursday so VZ did an excellent job there. They could have been better about informing us of what was happening along the way but, as Shakespeare said, "all's well that ends well." LOL

Any help/advice regarding initial steps would be greatly appreciated.

I believe you asked this last week -- yes it comes with a SIM card. You simply boot the phone up and it should walk you through activation and what not. Smart Switch should come up when you go through the setup guide.

I have found that it's easier to swap the sim cards, then power up the new phone. Avoids any potiential activation issues.

I use OneDrive for photos/videos so I don't worry about that and have an SD card as well. I'll move that over to the new phone when I swap the sim cards.

Google's back up and restore will take care of the rest when I log in.

Never received the Email update. Went on my Verizon account to check the status of my order after seeing someone comment that they never received the Email update.

I was charged last night 3/04
Shipped out Today 3/05 With FedEx tracking number on my account.
Arriving 3/07 by 430pm.

I can confirm my FEDEX tracking said it was picked up in Fresno, CA to be delivered by 8pm 3/7 this Thursday.

Earlier it said Label Printed but for sure it got picked up by FEDEX.

Looks like at the same time they shipped out my trade in kit, set to arrive tomorrow one day earlier lol.

Ordered my S10+ Prism Blue 128GB on 3/1. It said a delivery by 3/8 when I placed the order. Even says that in my confirmation email. Talked to Verizon and the rep told me that is when it is supposed to ship by. Doesn’t make much sense for it to say deliver by 3/8 but really it’s supposed to ship out then. Going to try and make the switch from my IPhone X to Android so getting a little to anxious here. Has anyone ordered close to 3/1 already getting shipping notifications?
