Verizon S6 update?

I noticed the brightness thing right away. Havent had it enough to notice battery yet.

Makes you wonder if part of any "battery fix" is reducing Auto Brightness. If so, not really a fix, just a band-aid.

I worked with Verizon support today on the Now on Tap issue. In the end, as expected, a factory reset was suggested. I may give that a try tonight. We'll see.

I've had Android phones for almost 8yrs now, and every update promises to bring improved battery life. None have delivered on that promise until this update to M. I'm sure it's entirely due to Doze.

The auto brightness is now adjustable, once you check the box you can move the slider to adjust it.

Does anyone know how to fix emails not automatically notifying in power saving mode? Also, I like to listen to iHeartRadio with my phone in power saving mode to cut down on battery usage, but the music cuts off a few minutes after the screen locks. My phone never did any of these things prior to the Marshmallow update.

Hey, here's an odd one after the upgrade.... Use the stock calculator. Try to subtract a percentage. Eg 200-20pct=

Uh...nope.

People are saying its adjustable autobrightness, meaning once you set it to autoadjustbrightness you have to set the benchmark you want it to keep. This was how my g2 was, set what brightness you want and it keeps it there based on surrounding environment.

Make sure now cards are enabled and then you should be able to enable now on tap.

Not in my case, I was already using now cards and they're still on, still can't enable now on tap.

Nice, didn't realize that. Thanks!

Good stuff, thanks for the info.
