Verizon S8 / S8+ Pre-Order Discussion

I'm curious for those of you that are getting full charges on your card. Is that what your expecting? I paid taxes in store , Said down payment of 120 something wasn't being asked for....I'm doing the monthly payments on Verizon....With that, Should I expect these big charges many of you are getting despite me signing up for installments?

I was only charged taxes and a early upgrade fee (about $90) since I'm doing installments. I did have to pay 104 to upgrade the line I purchased this phone on, but that was taken out immediately when I preordered the phone.

I pre-ordered the S8 through Wal-Mart which has a $150 rebate/bonus deal applied at the time you pick the phone up off of their lay-away. It seems counter intuitive for Wally World to have the pre-orders set up through their lay-away system, but as long as I have no issues picking the phone up, (hopefully by the 18th), and activating it on my Verizon line currently in upgrade status, I should be OK. Anyone else pre-order through Wal-Mart? Just curious.

My cc was just charged for taxes + upgrade fee $110. I ordered 3/29 at 11:55 pm. Luckily, The Headquartered FedEx hub here in Memphis is where Verizon has always shipped my phone out of and it sits here for 3-4 days and the next and only movement is my doorstep usually right on time.

I got another text this morning about 6 am that said my order had shipped. I checked the Verizon app and it says it has shipped on 4/17 with delivery on the 19th. I pre-ordered on 3/30.

I just got a text with tracking information from FedEx!! It's coming from PA and I'm in AZ, so it's giving me a delivery date BY Thur 4/20, but it's 2 day shipping by 8 pm, so I'm really crossing my fingers for a Tuesday delivery since I'm off Tuesday.

So, I didn't really see a discussion thread for the Verizon users that pre-ordered the S8+. Since they seem to be the last in a lot of things, I figured I would officially make this thread so that we can all suffer together while other carries are showing progress

I received my FedEx tracking number this morning and my S8+ is scheduled for delivery on the 19th!
