Verizon S8 / S8+ Pre-Order Discussion

I've noticed a trend with FedEx x-day delivery. Whether it's 3 day, 2 day or overnight, it ships the exact same way as overnight. They just don't start the process until the evening before delivery is due.

They received mine today, it's due for delivery Wednesday. You'd think they'd get it moving tonight and it would be at our local FedEx delivery center by Wednesday morning. Nope. It won't budge until tomorrow evening, when it will follow the exact same course as if they received it tomorrow for Overnight Delivery.

Other's mileage may vary, but this is how ALL FedEx deliveries arrive for me in California, whether they're coming from down the street at Newegg LA, from BHPhoto.com in NY, or from Amazon in NV. Heck it could be coming from the other side of the same town I live in, and they'll still sit on it until the evening before it's due.

UPS is different. I frequently order from Amazon, and if it turns out to be coming from a warehouse close to me I'll get it the next day, even though it was scheduled for 3-5 day ground.

NOTE: This is not a post regarding FedEx holding a delivery because the shipper instructed them not to deliver it until a certain day.

I got my Spigen Air Skin last week. If I put anything on my phone, it's no more than .35mm thick.

Order on 04/14 and got charged . I think you need to check email or contact them , maybe card declined due to fraud ?

No shipping,update or anything. I spoke to a rep at Verizon and they gave me the generic, it will be there on 4-21. So I wait...

I got the shipping notification for my s8 on Sunday, with it scheduled to arrive on Wednesday. Going to see how it feels (and if the useless bixby button bugs me too much) and then decide whether or not to keep it.

I got me a black Incpio case from the Verizon store here. That'll tie me over until 3RDi Galleries get there S8+ cases in. As far as screen protectors, I'm going to wait until I see reviews from those who have them already.

Never heard of that company 3rdi Galleries. Are they good?

The status online won't change till it ships which could be tomorrow night. I was charged Saturday night and nothing till tonight, shipping arrive Wednesday.

I'm going to bet that you will get it Thursday.

That would be great! I need to go somewhere Friday but will have to wait around so Thursday would be awesome.

Order on 04/14 and got charged . I think you need to check email or contact them , maybe card declined due to fraud ?

If your card gets declined you will get an email stating that with option to update payment.

I have already done both and they said it seems to be processing fine and there is no hold or anything.

Today is movement day, we will actually see our phones move to us today. Otherwise today is the day Verizon set for shipment, our phones was sitting at FedEx and UPS for 2 days.
