Hope is great, but in this particular case, it's useless
Verizon preorder shipping is slower than that turtle in the old dsl commercials

I just did an online chat with support to confirm. They say someone needs to sign, but it can be anyone over 18. Doesn't have to be the account holder. I tried getting the rep to simply change the shipping address to my work since it hasn't shipped yet, but she said she can't because the order is "processing". I would need to cancel my order, and re-place it. Since I have zero faith VZW wouldn't **** something up and put me at the end of the line when I pre-ordered on August 3rd if I re-placed my order, I'm leaving it be. Worst case I'll call in sick to work or something. I don't want to re-place my order, nor do I want to drive around chasing FedEx trucks, or going to the FedEx warehouse on Saturday. Seems everything always has to be more complicated than it should. Oh well #firstworldproblems

I called off on Friday just to prepare myself for the alternative with them, Verizon that is

Exactly. If anything else, at least have all the representatives on the same page and not each one say something different.

I would be OK if verizon didnt start shipping until next week. Just charge me so I know that I didnt make a typo in my card information, which is my luck lol

had a panic attack... my account had a pending verizon charge of $0.00 that charge vanished this morning. looked through all transactions and saw no charge from verizon and so i had to call. luckily everything is good and the oder was placed properly. i asked the sales associate if they have a expected shipping date. unfortunately it appears VZW isnt not releasing the phones earlier.

They're supposed to tell you that. I got my Galaxy S7 Edge four days early after being told I wouldn't get it until the launch day.
