Stick with the verizon offered anti-glare/protector. Its cheap, available in stores on release day, and honestly is better than anything on the market.
The original anti glares made the screen somewhat fuzzy in my opinion, and the standard clear ones while crystal clear sometimes made the screen not so smooth when swyping. Also the clear ones were magnets for oil and finger prints. This new protector for the X not only combines the clear, non-fuzzy, anti-glare but is amazing when it comes to not attracting or showing face oil and finger prints.

Put it right and you wont be disappointed; it protects, enhances and is cheap. Can't go wrong with that!

Have it and love it..

Does the Verizon version require liquid to install? I shudder when I watch installation videos that show liquid being squeezed around the periphery of the display area, with the potential of seepage into the LCD, or the internals of the phone.

Thank you for posting this! I wouldn't have ever thought they their protectors would be good and probably would have ordered an overpriced one.

Sounds good, I'll have to check that out after i pick up the phone from BB, hope i have enough time to swing there before work. At least we shouldn't have to worry too much about stock of accessories? I'll still check to see what is at BB but i'll probably just get that protector when it boils down to it.

This will be my first new phone in a while. From what I have read here there is the invisible shield which is a wet application.

But for dry application which is the best? Trying to understand that now.

The verizon sold anti glare ones.

Gorilla or not, I ordered the VZW ones and will be applying one as soon as it arrives tomorrow just to be safe.

I picked up the X today and got the anti-glare protectors from Big Red. They are amazing! I had the incredible before and those protectors were exactly like the ones I had for my iPod. Those were almost shiny. These have a great matte finish and have a great feel (to me) and work well with the touch screen.

Same here but ordered online can't wait to get it

I love that it's matte as well but does it give your screen a rainbowy effect like it's being filled with TV static? If you don't see what I mean I'll try and take pictures.

The rainbow effect is BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD. I'm hating these screen protectors with a passion. Please consider a different screen protector

Yeah, I am most likely going to end up buying a different screen protector but it's something to hold me over until i can get a proper one but i do love the feeling of the matte/antigloss.

And why didn't my keyboard automatically capitalize a lone" i"?! Bothers me.

I agree 100%.

I was surprised it wasn't a bit bigger when I opened it, but now that it's on, I don't even notice it. :p

I had the Bb rep put it on for me, when I tried with my storm out didn't go so well.lol

Those things are garbage and don't cover the entire screen!

Verizon’s Droid X Screen Protectors Come Up Short….Literally

booo too those! they suck. I just bought some from Zagg with adhesive. They should fit the entire screen plus last a lot longer
