Agreed. I was actually under the impression that in my state (CA,) both parties must stipulate to a change for it to go into effect or else the contract continues under the original terms. Not true. It's more in line with what you're saying.

Regardless, Verizon's customer agreement clearly says that they can make changes at anytime, but that if they did and didn't mitigate it then they have to let you off contract without etf

Why would it be fake? I believe the article said they got it directly from Verizon. As in Verizon said not some unknown source. I'd have to double check though.

Verizon has confirmed to us that they will begin notifying a “small group” of customers (via both bill message and letter) who use that “extraordinary” amount of data, telling them that they will need a new plan by August 31.

I only say this because most reps are clueless. Sometimes you get a gem. Today one of our mods was thinking of swapping and the rep told him Carryover Data is used first then plan data but that isn't the case. Carryover Data is like AT&T's rollover and T-Mobile's data stash... Plan data is used first than the leftover. The rep swore it was the other way around... A 10 second Google search I found the answer on the Verizon site saying it's how all the others are.

I really wouldn't know how to curve my data habits honestly ....I am so use to streaming Netflix in ultra HD and YouTube in 4k and you'll be surprised at how much data you can use in just a few hours...a day off with nothing but Netflix can easily add up to over 75+ gigs.....

We will have to see. Technically unlimited users are a "small group" already right? They said 1% of users on Verizon had unlimited still or something like that (IIRC).

It sucks...it's cheaper to use my hotspot and I get better speeds too...I had AT&T uverse but so does 90% of the homes in my immediate area, so speeds were drab

Ah that sucks. I have Comcast .. I get around 90 Mbps down with it. I am waiting for AT&T to activate Gigapower (it has been confirmed to be coming here and they have already dug in the neighborhood) so I REALLY want to go to that when it comes out. Is 1 Gbps necessary? No .. But I am nerd .

With verizon, I normally get around 65 Mbps down and 40 up which is enough to power everything I need to work flawlessly ...with my u-verse I was getting less than 3 down ans less than 1 up...lol
