Verizon software version

I'm running my gear S2 3G without Verizon service. The software manager says that the version is up-to-date. Can anyone confirm that the software update will push without Verizon access?

Can anyone who has the watch with up-to-date software on Verizon tell me what software version they're running?

Excellent, thank you. I actually had the S2 and then traded it out for the S2 classic. If I remember correctly the last update had the sleep tracking on it. It worked with the original s2. I guess I'll try it out tonight.
 
I do not have sleep tracking on the 3g s2 verizon. Still waiting for the update that enables this.

Interesting. I remember it working on my original S2 for Verizon. Will see if I can figure it out. It worked the same as it did on the gear for 2. Or maybe I've been hot in the head too many times.
 
I have heard newer purchases have a newer firmware. This might explain why some have sleep tracking and some don't.
 
How did you get bpc7? I don't have an active line wondering if it's required to get the latest update or is there a place we can download it? I'm on bpc1

Mine also has bpc7 and shows NFC on/off and Tap and Pay. I don't use so I don't know how to check to see if it works. Tap and pay on watch settings says I have no installed payment apps. My S2 3g is on Verizon.
