I just want to know if I can get a promo price or not w/ a 2 year plan. Seen both yes and no on it and I'm not talking about monthly payment plans.
They are available on contract but that won't come with the trade in credit.I just want to know if I can get a promo price or not w/ a 2 year plan. Seen both yes and no on it and I'm not talking about monthly payment plans.
I'm so done with Verizon. They really messed up the experience on several of my phones and their customer service is laughable (actually cry-able from the customer point of view).

I don't need trade in credit, I'm OK w/ selling my phone on Craigslist but just so I can be sure, you're saying that there will be a price of $299 w/ a new two year contract? (the price obviously being generic)
Do you have a source for this info? Sorry but like I've said, I heard both yes and no but I can't see anything on Verizon's website. Only the monthly price and standard $799 or however much it is.
On Phandroid they said the following breakdown:
Pixel 32 GB = $199.99 on contract
Pixel 128 GB = $299.99
Pixel XL 32 GB = $319.99
Pixel XL 128 GB = $419.99
I want to believe this, but am cautious. I believe a rep said those things, but that info is only as valuable as the "Rep" saying these things.
I'm mostly referring to the fact that
a.) could you really move a Verizon pixel over to another carrier some time after activating
B.) would the updates really and truly bypass big red? Similar to Apple? Like finally?
If so - this is huge. And this would be literally the first news break that this is actually the fact.
Again - I'm cautious... I want the 128 gig version and will be bringing my "revised" note 7 back to best buy, by the 14th. I'll have to limp in an old S5 in the meantime. Haha.
Why is the 128 out if stock with Google? Argh!!!
I'm sitting here freaking out about which to do. HahhahaaThere are a few sites reporting today that Google is saying they're handling the updates and Verizon has nothing to do with it.
There are also multiple reports that the vzw apps that are installed can be completely uninstalled, not just disabled like they normally have to be.
Looks like great news indeed.
Unfortunately Verizon still provides the best service by far where I need it . there are spots at my work where tmobile and att have no service but Verizon works. Also I am on a legacy Verizon plan which is significantly cheaper than the competition for my needs.
If it wasn't for Verizon cloud or vz messages, I would have had a lot of angry customers. You guys have to understand not everyone is like us. It's easy for you guys sit here and say how terrible Verizon's customers service is, but you could say this with any company. Personally, Verizon bends over backwards for customers from my pov.
It is what it is, Bloatware can be disabled. I'd take the better speeds and coverage with bloat, than some of the terrible networks available without bloat.

This is all enough for me to say eff it and am gonna order the Google unlocked version right now.Well, depending on if they're right and who will be handling the updates, might have to get me a new phone come February. Thanks for the heads up

Will Verizon be involved? I’ve seen several people ask that question, so I decided it was time to get some further clarification. A Google spokesperson had the following to say regarding the matter:
Monthly security updates will come from Google (for all models), and system updates will be managed by Verizon for Verizon models, and Google for unlocked models bought from Google Store.
So the good news here is that Google will still be pushing monthly security updates to all Pixel devices, Verizon models included. On the other hand, Verizon will be in charge of system updates, aka future versions of Android. Google will still make the updates, but Verizon will push them to devices it has sold.
