What's causing the Verizon voicemail to pause playback once the phone is placed up to ear? I thought I may be hitting a button, but it does the same thing when just covering up the proximity sensor. Another forum suggested wiping the partition cache, which I did. This did work for about 5 minutes. But, the problem starts again. Several posts on the Verizon boards, but no solutions. Thanks

Been happening to me too since I upgraded to the VW S8. Annoying, have to either listen through a headset or blast like on speakerphone.

I am not having this issue on mine... I usually use the speaker, however just tried it and it worked fine :)

I had an error on mine when the Verizon Visual Voicemail came up. Said it was checking my account, then said there was an error and offered to call the voicemail number. That worked as it should, no problem with it or the phone screen. I am not signed up for visual mail and I think that's one issue.

Don't know why we need almost identical duplicate threads.

It sounds weird but go to Samsung pay settings favorite card and turn them off and see what happens

I've been dealing with the same issue. It's a Samsung Pay issue. I wanted to keep the app and found turning off the camera permission in Samsung Pay solves the issue and both apps work.

Interesting, by disabling the camera permission, it fixes the playback issue (AT&T VVM).

I agree. On Verizon it worked too. You don't need the camera for Samsung Pay once you setup your cards. Turn it off and VVM worked properly again.
