Verizon vs Unlocked

The 35 dollar bonus was an early sign up. I don't recall if that's the exact wording. That's no longer on the site. When you go in now you only get a 200 dollar credit

Ah got it bummer !! Hopefully it’s more of a coupon code that you can apply on your work discount account.

There was no code, it was just early advance reservation. They make the process too complicated....lol We'll see what happens on the 21st. The employee discount is still a better deal. @mustang7757 will give me his credit when he orders.

i know verizon doesnt have the s20 available which is the one i want... what happens if i buy the unlocked s20 and connect it to verizon? will i be able to use 5g or nah? if no then i will pass for now... i like the smaller form factor in the s20 and dont like bricks so ill pass on the ultra and plus version

So since j have a feeling I might not get my original configuration and since I'm wanting to get unlocked now, can anyone suggest a good cloud service that automatically backs up pics and stuff daily? Verizon is like 12.99 a month ??????

Google photos, OneDrive, Amazon photos or similar expect anything carrier related. All cloud service have settings to back up immediately when you are connected to WiFi and some have further settings to do only when charging etc. You can use these on any phone. Google photos is free but compressed for sizes greater than 16MP (more than enough if you ask me). You can pay for Google one if you want to upload original quality/size which gives storage quota across all your Google services with other benefits and not just photos storage. Amazon photos is free for pictures with Amazon prime. OneDrive or Dropbox etc charge reasonable monthly/yearly fee if you prefer that and works on any device/carrier/platform.

Never use whatever the crappy US carriers develops.

It doesn't have the millimeter wave 5g which Verizon is using current in few cities so no 5g. But if they have other 5g frequencies I don't see why it won't work, and it'll work with their LTE network. If you want to wait for Verizon variant I heard that it's coming in a few months with millimeter wave support.

Ain't everything in 5 g new.
And each carrier don't have the Hdw to do new and old 5g.
5g is gonna change.
Its gonna take time for the carriers to spend billions to get it up.
And what they have now won't be the same thing as a couple of years from now.

i might just wait and buy the verizon version.... it just sucks that by that time my s10 wont have great trade in value like right now if i get the phone on release day...ill watch the reviews and see how good the camera is and that will be the deciding factor if i buy this phone... if not i might just wait until next year for the new galaxy

I've been looking around and I can't find a legitimate answer if the unlocked s20 will work with Verizon, if anyone has any information pls share.
