Is it true that Verizon phones automatically unlock after 60 days?
Yes that’s correct they automatically sim unlock the phone after 60 days.

Personally sim unlock is not the main draw on unlocked model for me. It’s the lack of Verizon boot logo, Verizon crap and Verizon specific firmware customization. Could care less for sim unlock.
Trying to put this all together in my head. With an unlocked you lose video calling in the dialer, lose all the verizon apps/bloatware, and gain some Samsung features Verizon cuts out. What about RMS messaging and/or mobile hotspot support? Anything else I'm missing?
Yes but it's just sim unlocked to work on any carrier. It still has Verizon firmware so it may be less compatible with other carriers than a fully unlocked phoneIs it true that Verizon phones automatically unlock after 60 days?
You retain wifi calling, voLTE, with an unlocked device on Verizon...RCS will work with Google messaging.
You can connect to Samsungs Find my Mobile which is more feature rich than Googles Find my Device. I'm not aware of any other Samsung features you would lose with the Verizon model but someone might know different

No it should be like any network unlocked carrier phone , load up whatever sim you useYes but it's just sim unlocked to work on any carrier. It still has Verizon firmware so it may be less compatible with other carriers than a fully unlocked phone

Aren't Samsungs all able to flash cross carrier / unlocked firmware these days. In theory if you get a Verizon version can't you just odin to unlocked firmware. I want unlocked but with best buy offering $150 more off the verizon one (yes via stupid bill credits, but still Im not going anywhere), thats the route I was going.
No I think your misunderstood , Verizon sim unlocked is not the same a US unlocked. The device will work but it may be less compatible with certain features. If there is a specific setting a carrier needs it may or may not work. I'm not willing to go out on a limb unless it holds my weight.

If you have a carrier device and sim unlocked it , whatever carrier you use will load their carrier logo,RCS chat , Carrier Aggregation, .
Unlocked Samsung won't load any carrier logo, carrier RCS chat lost , Video call through stock dialer lost ,some WiFi calling, etc..
I believe so but not everyone wants to do thst
I'm pretty sure.... @mustang7757 can confirm about reflashingGot ya. I’ll need to research if it’s still the case but I doubt it has changed. Hopefully I’ll be flashing away
Yeah you can flash firmwares interchangeably and Mustang is local expert here on thatGot ya. I’ll need to research if it’s still the case but I doubt it has changed. Hopefully I’ll be flashing away
Yes you can flash any carrier as it's universal but you want it sim unlocked otherwise your just basically like a factory reset stays same Carrier, and yes if you choose unlocked version you can also do thatAren't Samsungs all able to flash cross carrier / unlocked firmware these days. Good God man! Do you have to inflate his ego? As it is he has trouble getting into his mustang. If his head gets any bigger he will have to drive with the sunroof open.Yeah you can flash firmwares interchangeably and Mustang is local expert here on that
Personally also don't want do deal with that even if it's straight forward simple process and I get US Unlocked straight from Samsung who always has great offers for unlocked model.
