Verizon will end video Throttling...for a price.

So they basically took it away and now are charging more for it. Still at least the option is there

Typical Verizon! Just you wait... you'll end up paying... then sometime later, they'll throttle again. AT THE HIGHER PRICE! Verizon is about as greedy and low down a company in this or any other country as they come!

Na I just won't pay. I can live with 720P for the price I am getting now. No reason to up it to 4k for $10.

I'm going to assume since this is Verizon, it's $10 per line. I can't see them doing it per account, they are too greedy and ruthless for that.

That's good Verizon will offer this option. Just curious to see if the network starts to slow again if to many customers subscribe to this option? If I was a Verizon customer?
I would hold off too like Almeuit and wait till there are more phones with 4K displays
to at least justify the cost. Also, If you have the newer beyond unlimited data at the 85 per line rate with extra lines? To add this feature it could get pretty costly for a subtle upgrade(720p-1080p) that most would probably not even notice.

I have the grandfathered UDP and I can't seem to find the option to remove the throttle.

Maybe it could be that this feature would work only with the newer plans because the legacy UDP originally didn't have a throttle to begin with or Verizon might be promoting you to switch off of your current plan to the newer one? Try calling Verizon

Verizon implemented the 720P cap for all plans (excluding Go Unlimited).

Yes, but you are supposed to note be able to pay an additional $10 per month to do away with the throttle.

Yes, I understand that. However, the op was trying to find answer to his legacy UDP not having the option to add the 10 dollar non throttle feature. I have read a good deal of these articles regarding this new feature. I haven't found one yet that says it also applies to the legacy UDP. That was just my reasoning based upon what I've read. I'm thinking it is also another angle for Verizon to get its remaining LUDP to switch to the newer plans and then pay more?

From following on Reddit.. it's all plans. Literally all. Except Go Unlimited and possibly limited ones.

Did you guys have the option to pay the extra $10 in the my Verizon app or online? I don't have that option on either.

So I contacted VZW and they now say that I am ineligible du to having an unlocked note 8...
