Verizon wireless $600.00 w 2yr data plan

That's what you have for me, a "dis" on my thank rating. lol.

All I have read from you over the past few days in negativity.

"waaaa, the xoom doesnt have... (insert your numerous complaints here)"

Look, we all get it. You are displeased with it. Get over it. Move along, wait for something else. Your negativity isn't welcomed here.
I am not really into insulting people who disagree with me, so yeah the thanks issue is all I have for you on the insult front, not really the way I handle conflict.

I am sorry you dislike me pointing out what problems there are with the Xoom, but I have also pointed out things that I think have been good, when we belived them to be good.

Just go buy your tablet, have a good time and stop worry about what some guy like me says about it on a message board.

One thing I'm hoping for is that having a data plan with a 2 year contract NOW, will let me keep the same price for the data contract when LTE is available. I know, I know... But I can hope can't I?

That would be nice but I am certain that LTE will be a huge rip off. I mean look at the data prices now.

Me, I'm really glad they have a subsidized option. I get a 20% discount on Verizon service so I was thinking of adding on the data plan anyways.

With the discount I?ll be paying 16 bucks a month for service plus get the 200 off. With that discount over the 2 years I?ll be paying a total of $983, which is only 184 over the original 799. That averages under $8 bucks a month for the data plan. So it?s definitely worth it for me.

To be fair the data prices are a pretty good deal. Seeing as how I get land internet service for $45/mo after a $10 discount because I am a cable customer thecost of mobile access is very fair.
With your data discount and subsidized device discount you seem like you have your bases covered! Just wish Motorola could have saved you a little more by making the initial price of the device a bit cheaper.

Totally agree. But early adopters pay more. I'm guessing within 2-3 years tablet prices are going to plummit so you you'll actually be able get a good one that is a lot more affordable. right about the time my contract is up hopefully!

I don't know if the contract is such a good idea (my opinion). I think I'd rather pay the $800.00 for the unit and get the month data plan at first then cancel it and use my wifi hotspot on my phone to power the Xoom. Since I'm paying for the hotspot and a data plan on my Droid X I don't feel it's necessary to pay for another one for 2 years

2 year contracts are ridiculous now. 1 Year commitments are more reasonable. Look how often devices are pumping out. I would much rather pay the extra 200 and be contract free

Not sure why all the negativity. They are very reasonable to offer up that option. You are not required to take it. If you get the minimum cost plan for 1 year it will cost you about $240. A $200 subsidy for a a $240 data plan would not be a good deal for Verizon.

If you don't like it then don't get it, but the option is good for consumers.

If you want $100 subsidy for a year then that might be a good idea, but that is not what is offered so seeing as how you don't like people pointing out problems, maybe you shouldn't either.

You clearly looking for a back and forth today aren't you? I stated my opinion. There's a different between what you were doing which has been *****ing and moaning about what this device doesn't offer you.

LoL, "Hey Kettle, your black!"

are you still tryin to find away to afford the XOOM?
LoL. No need to try and find a way, money is not the issue. Some of the issues with the Xoom are why I have been hesitant. But if it makes you feel better to rationalize the only way someeone wouldn't buy one is because they can't afford it, you go ahead and think that.
