Vertical lines running down the screen

Hey guys i just got my new htc 10 and ive noticed when the screen is off and in direct sunlight i can see vertical lines running down the screen. Ive seen them befor but only on low end phones, i know that they are related to touch control or something like that but the problem is that if i look enough i can clearly see there outline on white and grey background, its like the phone screen is cut in to small vertical slots. I cant see them i color background and only if i hold my phone at an angle and in direct sunlight can i see them when the screen is off. But i can pick them out on white backgrounds ( settings facebook ex..) basically every app hass some white in it and with all honesty im totally underwhelmed whit my phones screen my note 3 had now such lines and even my htc one x plus looks better then this screen. Is this normal ? or should i rma my phone ?. now that ive noticed them i cant ignore them and its driving me crazy , i really love this phone everything about it is 10 out of 10 but this screen its a disappointment and i have sharp panel if that helps.

If you're seeing them when the phone is off, I don't understand the problem. That said, I've had the One X and if you think that has a better screen, something is desperately wrong with your 10.

No... Nothing is wrong with his phone.... He's just being overly critical IMO... take a photo of the problem

lol... it might be something wrong who knows...

but the phone i've ever seen lines on the display on was my cheap $30 zte I got from walmart when my phone broke before I got my 10... that's if you are talking about what I think you are talking about

I have it as well and have read on other forums that it only appears on Sharp panels. I didn't notice it until someone had mentioned it though. You clearly can't see it when the phone is on.

If you're not happy with it, I'd suggest returning it if it's within 30 days and purchasing another. Hopefully, you'll get a Tianma screen.

And hope not to get the pink tinted one do all sharp panel's have these lines ?

I've only heard of the Sharp panels having the lines: vertical lines screen | HTC 10

I'm on my third unit because my first two were Tianma panels with the yellow tint at the bottom of the screen. I really didn't notice the lines until I read that thread. It's totally up to you!

yeah those were the type of lines I saw on my cheap zte whose screen was extremely horrible!!! idk...I can't see it on my phone
