Why in the world would you want it on? It was like getting an electric shock every time I hit a key. Or is this just a verizon feature? What carrier are you on? I tried a couple of AT&T phones and they were nicer to my fingers. What I mean by shock is intensely strong vibrate that was highly uncomfortable. Started doing it as soon as I had to activate my google account going through setup.

For some reason my keyboard haptic isn't that jarring but I've heard it is on others, is there a setting on how long the haptic is per touch?

The stock keyboard had no setting to adjust the haptic length. I use SwiftKey and it does allow you to adjust.

Length or intensity? I suppose a shorter zap is better than a longer zap. I kind of felt like Bart or Homer Simpson typing on the keyboard. *tap* OW! *tap* OW! *tap* OW!
