Vibration alert for call/sms stopped after 4.3 update

Before the update, I was able to just slightly lift the phone and it would vibrate if I had a call or SMS without even having to turn on the screen. It no longer does this. I have no idea what this feature is called or where I can go to restart it. Can anyone help??

Try checking Settings/My device/Motion. It is called Smart Alert.

It seems that smart alert has stopped working not just for myself but for other people as well. Is anyone aware of a fix for this?

I just turned it off per my post "Quirks", but it hadn't been working before I turned it off anyway. Thanks.

My s3 just updated itself to 4.3 and I have the same problem. Smart alert isn't working. Also it vibrates too soft and in messaging, I used to be able to change that 'settings' button(now voice message or whatever) to something else, like a comma, which was very useful.
