I was recording videos and it recorded the music I was playing.
All of a sudden, it stopped getting music. Just does the sound of whatever is in video... talking ect.
Can you change it back so you can hear music, again?

The only thing I noticed is it did pop up a message, something about voice or music (whichever) but didn't have glasses on and I couldn't see it so ignored it. Can't find any settings to fix it.

Sometimes, they put messages on where auld people need reading glasses, with no warning. So you are screwed if you don't have them close

How are you recording the video -- using the stock Camera app? Do you mean it would record the music that another app was playing? As far as I know, the phone shouldn't be able to continue playing music from an app while also recording a video using the Camera app.

Sorry, had a hard time getting here, all day.
I think snapchat? If I used my video in camera, it's the one that came with it.

OK, I was trying to fix in camera .. now I tried snapchat and it's working. doi

I wasn't away the in camera vid doesn't do that.

Well, wrong. I couldn't fix snapchat, either.

So, you can't record playing music?

Hmm, I had never tried it before, but I confirmed that I could in fact play music using YouTube Music and record a video using the Camera app at the same time (on my Pixel 3 XL), and the music was recorded on the video.

It's still not clear to me -- are you saying that when you use your phone's Camera app to record a video while using another app to play music in the background, you don't hear the music in the recorded video? Or is it only with Snapchat? When you're in the process of recording your video, do you actually hear the music app playing the music, or does it stop playing as soon as you hit the Record button?

I have blackplayer
If I have it on, and record vid, the music is over video and youhear it.
But not now, it doesn't work.
It was on snapchat. (I don’t believe I tried, on regular vid that came on phone).
Don’t use wifi connected music, when out. So not using YT.

Can you test with any other music player app? Perhaps something changed with a recent update to Blackplayer.

I only had YouTube music which stops when you put it down. Tried radio. It work. And then, so didn't blackplayer.
It was my headphones ...omg DOH

Thanks

The camera should normally stop the music that's playing to record video... 'cause if you think about it, that's counter intuitive. The mic is next to the speaker that's blasting music but you're trying to record videos where people are talking and there are sound/noise all around you... it's gonna be too messy for the camera to process and clean up the sound. Samsung is already trying to isolate the sound depending on what your pointing at if I remember correctly. The fact that music is still playing while recording video sounds like an issue lol

alright, I tried it on my phone and it works as described... I can play music while recording video by holding the capture button (circle) and it'll play the video with the music that I was playing at the time. That's trippy but sorta cool. It's the app's concept I suppose.

But in stock samsung camera, it should work like that... so if you experience the same stuff in the samsung's stock camera app then report it using the Samsung Members app

I was thinking exactly as you were until I tried it as well!:p
