Has anyone found an app that will let you do video chat yet? I tried fring but I guess since they haven't had time to make it work it only uses the back camera instead of the front. Any other ideas that might work? Something cross-platform would be best since my wife has the iphone.

Bump, also wondering what is the best video chat app. I dont know if google talk works yet but are there any others that work well?

What needs to happen now since more and more android phone will be coming with a front facing camera, is google needs to update their google talk application for android to work the same as honeycomb.

video chat using google talk. any info when that will be available on android phones? in fact they should fix that for apple too. so we can all video chat.

I second the google talk app but the down side is it isn't crossplatform. The only google talk for the iphone is web based

Yahoo messenger works for video chat.

Thanks I'll have to check it out to see if the iphone has video on the yahoo chat app!

God I would love it if google talk worked fully on the Thunderbolt. I don't care about skype, but I use google talk regularly.

Panda recommended Tango for the ThunderBolt. I've installed it but haven't actually used it yet.

I don't know if anyone mentioned this, but when I bought my TB earlier, there was a sticker above the demo unit that said "Skype video coming soon." It wasn't really an issue for me, but I know a lot of you wanted Skype. Hope this helps.

I also suggest Tango. I bought a Thunderbolt for myself and an iPhone for the wife today. We are gonna try Tango to see how well it works.

Three better apps so far •>> Qik - Tango - Yahoo messenger. I'm using Qik at this time.(IMO)

Make sure you are the other person(s) are running the recommend phone versions.(froyo or gingerbread)
