Video chat with Google+ & Talk

Hello all, Now that the Thunderbolt has been updated with GB. I have been looking to use the Video chat offered by Google+ and Talk. Unfortunately, I have not been able to get either one of these features to work, nor have I seen the option for them.

Can anyone provide guidance on this?

For google talk you have to activate the option to use video.

Click on your name from the list of contacts and then click the check box next to 'Allow video and voice chats'

Unfortunately Google talk only works with the rear camera, for some reason the FFC does not work.

As for Google+ this works great, but you cannot start a 'hangout' (what google+ calls its video chat sessions) you can only join one that someone else start. But quality is good and FFC work.

Ok, great. I understand the Talk video feature. Even though it doesn't make sense to be able to video chat but have to use the rear camera.

As for Google+ if I can only join a hangout and can start one, How does someone start a hangout/video chat?

On the right had column on the google+ website there is a yellow icon that says 'Start a Hangout'

I think you can only do this from a computer.

I have joined a few hangouts and while it works it always shows me facing wrong way no matter how I had my phone placed.
