Video Playback Struggles

Fellow Note 4 enthusiasts, I'm using MX Player as my video player. When playing back videos I've recorded, it's constantly buffering. My settings are smooth motion, full HD. This is disturbing considering the power of the phone. Why would the phone have the capability to record on that setting and not be able to play the video back without buffering?

Are you using hardware or software rendering in MX Player? Have you tried other video players?

If hw/sw rendering is the same as decoding, then yes. I have not tried any other video players, including the native samsung application. I like the simplicity of MX Player and it's worked without a hitch on pervious devices.
