Chromebook Plus w/version 64.0.3282.190

It seems like after updating Chrome OS a few of my apps, noticeably HBO Now, Netflix, and Amazon Prime Video, aren't working properly. Screen doesn't register touch using these apps, and neither does clicking with the trackpad. Once I start a video, the only way to navigate out/back is to either click the arrow on the shelf or close the app entirely.

Hulu still functions flawlessly, and I can watch videos using these services perfectly fine via their website using the Chrome browser, so I don't think it's hardware related. Seems to be isolated to video streaming apps.

I've restarted several times and even powerwashed, and the problem remains.

Anyone else having this issue, or any suggestions? Thanks!!!

Maybe try uninstalling updates to Android System Webview, since updates to this sometimes cause various issues.

It's a no go. I actually had an update for web view, Netflix, and Amazon video. Installed all 3 and it's still a mess.

Can I roll back to a previous version of chrome os, since it seems everything was working fine before this latest update?

I don't even know.

I went ahead and switched over to the Beta build of the OS. Didn't help. Uninstalled and reinstalled apps. Didn't help. Installed other versions of available apps from the Web Store, and they worked perfectly.

Then, I created a second user with a different gmail account, and installed Netflix, HBO, etc from the Play Store. Worked perfectly fine on that account. Switched back over to the main profile, reinstalled the troublesome apps, and they seem to be working fine again.

Must've jarred something loose at some point, but I don't know what or how.

I just got an Android System Webview update on my Chromebooks -- make sure yours is updated as well, and see if the problem persists.
