You don't have to, you just have to flash the boot.img. make sure you make a backup in recovery.

am new here am also using the phone. so sad that there are no much rom development of the phone. am using their updated stock rom and my hotspots ain't working. anyway to fix it??

Yeah, I wish there was more to choose from, we have 2 in the household, I rooted and froze a lot of stupid apps on my daughters, but wife didn't want me touching hers...lol.
