virgin mobile s3 unable to make calls

Ive got a galaxy s3 and its on virgin, I can topup and do everything my phone should do except make calls!!!! Anyone who can help would be fantastic. Been trying to find out what the problem is but can't find anything

Can you give us a little more detail? Does it give you an error message? Does it show that you have actual reception in the notification bar at the top of the screen? Are you sure the SIM card is in all the way?

I have changed the thread title in hopes of getting more replies.

Was this s3 bought directly from virgin mobile, or purchased used? As I take it, virgin mobile is cdma, so it should not take a SIM
