Virus Attacking Your LG G3 Pop Up

I have had two LG G3 phones because I sadly broke the first. I had insurance on it so it wasn't that big of a deal. But I noticed that with both times I have had it (which I currently still do) eventually, every time I try to click on any app- messages, instagram, gallery, chrome, Etc.- it takes me to the google chrome screen and says I have a virus attacking my phone and to install an application to fix it. Sometimes it just says I have a virus attacking my phone and to install the update. Sketchy of what looked like a scam, I always exit the page. I downloaded CM Security to see it it would help, but it still does it. CM Security scans my phone and says I have no viruses, but the pop up still comes when I try to click on any application. I also went into my settings and checked for an update and it says I don't need one. I took a screen shot of what it looks like, but I'm unsure of how to fix it. I'm still sketchy of pressing "OK" to download the update and/or app. What should I do to fix it?

Welcome to the G3 forum. :)

The pop-ups probably originate in some app that you've installed. To test that, boot into Safe Mode, which temporarily disables third-party apps, and see whether they stop. If so, you'll have to identify the app responsible and uninstall it.
Do not allow the pop-up to deceive you, nor press OK to download. It is malware. Report it to Google:
