Hey everyone,

New to this forum and glad to finally be part of the club!

I got a Galaxy S4 in the pre-orders from TMobile so i've had it for some time now, but something weird started happening yesterday.

My phone started popping tiny app icons on the home screen for games and stuff
i was afraid that my phone might have gotten hacked or leaked some info or something
i already backed up and hard reset my phone just to make sure nothing would happen to anything on the phone or to my data

but i figured i'd show you guys some screen shots of these random apps popping up

any input would be great! thanks guys!

It's probably an app you downloaded that put it on there
What was the last app you downloaded?
Uninstall it and the apps will not come anymore
If you do not want to uninstall the app, just delete those things from your HS

Whoa. I too have downloaded some malware apps.
--The app was "Hungry Fish 2". I know I downloaded it from the the play store. Since I've loaded that app, my android keeps populating with other apps, that I did NOT download, including "Candy Crush Saga", "Candy Crush", "New Apps!", "Free Apps" and "Super Mario Bros". I keep getting notification messages to buy crap.

--The problem is, not a single one of these things now shows in the Google play store... either on their search list or on the installed list.

I'm sort of at a loss as to exactly how to delete any of them. I'm assuming there is an .apk file stored somewhere. Anybody got an idea on how to proceed, besides the very very lame "Delete it thru the play store." Duh, do you really think we didn't try that first?

Somewhere I've got the software to set up an android data bridge (ADB) which goes beyond the normal drive look/see. Anybody know where this stuff is likely to be stored, and what the file names are likely to be??

thanks.

Followup for anybody else who is having these or related issues..

Don't use the Google Play Store app to determine what you've downloaded.. Instead go to:
--Settings --> Application Manager --> Downloaded.. and uninstall the app from there.

--Zip.

Try downloading "addons detector" and run a scan. My gf had the same issue and it was a tic-tac-toe game that was doing it to her.

has anyone had problems with pics that you have taken and then someone you recently text of call have them in their Gallery and you dont know how they got them.

I got a virus on my phone, I've went to thru settings to my downloads, found the virus, but Where it says uninstall, it's gray to where I can't uninstall it
