Virus software or not?

I get my S9 tomorrow and was wondering, do i need a virus software program? Can i disabled/delete the one that comes preinstalled or should i be running some type of virus protection?

If you only install apps from google play store then you should be safe.
If you want to install apks from different websites then you should use some extra protection.
