Virus?

I got an email from a family member that seemed fishy. Had a link to a security update so I didn't install it. I deleted the email but had opened it. I ran the Verizon virus protection and it didn't find anything. However after turning my phone back on I see the file in my notifications asking me if I want to download it or cancel? How do I get rid of it? Thanks!!

Yes I pushed cancel but after going to church I turned my phone back on and it did it all again. It showed a "security pac" on my notification bar and this time labeled it #2. It says download complete (same as before) but asks me to install or cancel so I push cancel. I ran Verizon security again but nothing shows up. Is this going to try to infect my phone each time I turn it on??

I would do a factory reset. That way you know it is gone for sure. Make sure to back up your stuff first.
