I don't have mine yet, but, from all I've read, most of the bloatware is locked in to where you'd need at least root, and maybe an unlocked bootloader, to get rid of it. It's not a big deal for two reasons.
1) They didn't put their full bloatware suite on this phone.
2) You can just create a folder for unused apps and move them all there. I did that on my BlackBerry and it can be done on the Vivid. I've been reading the full user manual, which you can download from the Vivid support page on the HTC site (I've been "pre-bonding" with the Vivid in anticipation of getting it.). It shows the folder creation procedure. That doesn't clear the space the bloatware takes up, but you've got 16GB internal and your SD card (if you've installed one) to play with, so it's not really critical at this juncture.
