voice commands

When using Google now, a voice command truncates at approximately 4 words. It does not allow me to ask the entire question. The instructions for voice commands, indicates that long questions can be asked. Is there a way to lengthen voice commands in Google now to permit longer expressions? Thanks

Think you just need to speak faster with no pauses, old boy.

I just used OK Google and said...

"Those Magnificent Men in Their Flying Machines or How I Flew from London to Paris in 25 hours 11 minutes"

... and it worked perfectly!

To Ironass : It must be my smartphone. Speaking faster was no help. People tell me all the time that I talk too fast, but thanks for the suggestion.

I just discovered why I've been having a problem with my voice commands being truncated. If I hit the microphone in the Google search bar, my voice commands get truncated after about 4 words. If I use the microphone on the Google Now page, the problem goes away. Why is that, and is there a setting somewhere that can be tweaked to enable voice commands in the search bar to behave like the one in Google now? I hope this post makes sense. Thanks.

It's easiest on the main desktop website. Go to the thread, copy the URL, then paste the URL in your post.

Try this next time. Open the original thread, tap on the three dots top right and select "copy url". Then in the new thread long press on the reply window and tap on paste.

1. Open tab for your new Android Central post.

2. Touch 3 dot menu top right and select, "New tab".

3. In the new tab, navigate to the post that you wish to link to.

4. Press and hold the URL in the search box at the top and select the copy icon, (2 sheets of paper).

5. Press your phone's back soft key and touch on the square with a number in it to the right of the URL box at the top.

6. Select the new Android Central post page you were on.

7. Press and hold in your new post until, "Paste", is displayed and select it.

8. Voila! You have now copied and pasted a link into an Android Central post without the need of a computer!

LOL. Different solutions for the same problem anyway. Yours work from a browser mine from the AC apps.

Ok Google / microphone

I'm having difficulty with a maximum number of words I can use with voice commands. Sometimes it cuts off with just four words. Is OK Google better than using the microphone? Thanks.

It's pretty much the same thing. It has to do with your microphone's sensitivity and the background noise. Have you tried using it with a wired headset?

No I haven't. I seem to feel that the first word spoken in the command has an effect on how long the command can be. Your thoughts?
