Voice dictation in text messages not working?

I have TMobile, and have noticed for the past week, when doing voice texting or dictation, Google Voice only picks up a portion of my dictation. I was using Textra, then back to Samsung message, switched from Google keyboard to Samsung native keyboard, but the problem still persist. Interestingly, there are no issues with Google Assistant or "OK Google. Any suggestions?

Yes! I just discovered this yesterday. Go to setting in Google. Google-->Voice-->Voice Match. Turn off Voice Match. See pic. Curious if it also works for you.

I had this problem (voice dictation/speech to text stopping after I spoke a few words) on my Note 4.

I had discovered that uninstalling all of the updates to the Google app and then letting it update fixed this for me - but only for a while.

For reasons that I couldn't figure out, this fix would stop working after a while, leaving me with broken voice dictation/speech to text again.

Your simple (once you know what to do!) fix solved my problem!

I suspect that I was, once things where working again, turning this setting on - hence breaking voice dictation/speech to text again.

Thanks for sharing your discovery on how to fix this - I was ready to scrap my phone and replace it because of this problem.

Thanks for your help. I got the same issue with my Note 4 but now the issue was fixed.
