AT&T Galaxy S8 Voice input not working

When I press the microphone button it doesn't do anything or tells me unable to perform action while recording

I had the same exact problem yesterday. I ended up turning off the Samsung voice and just using the Android voice and now it's working a hundred percent better. In fact this response was totally done by voice
