Voice Search only sees one Dave, but I have many ...

I have several Daves in my contacts, but VS only finds the first one. If I use both names, e.g., Dave Smith, it will email/text Dave Anderson with the first word of the message being "Smith."

How can I use VS to email Dave Smith?
