Voice Typing on Samsung Keyboard

I guess if they did they should have at least removed the option to hold the space bar for voice imput. Seems redundant.

Maybe they should just move the option for cursor control from the space bar to down below where the mic is and I turn it off lol

I'm not confident either lol. The worst part is, the writing assist feature was most useful to me when voice typing. My spelling and grammar are pretty good, but voice typing makes a huge mess of punctuation! It is quite handy to just run the output through the integrated checker and have it correct itself.

I'm back to Gboard now ,though. Couldn't take it anymore.

I literally can not. That's what this thread is about.

It is technically possible, but the implementation is so horrendous that it's unusable.

You don't have to tell me , I've been on Gboard only wanted test Samsung with AI and switched pretty fast lol

Such a shame we can't use the writing assistant in gboard or the browsing assistance in chrome.

Agree. Feel the same way completely. I've tried all the keyboards mentioned and have the same issues. Unbelievable - who wants to toggle back and forth or whatever to get AI working. Regardless the Samsung keyboard is way worse IMO compared to Gboard. Sigh.

I use Gboard but know people that like Swift Key which my husband uses but lately i have been using Samsung I like being able to add an AR Emoji to a text and I think it has Bitmoji which is why I like gboard. But I hate the going back and forth from mic to keyboard so annoying.

I've tried repeatedly over the years to use Samsung KB but it's so finicky I just keep going back to Gboard.

Still no mic button since they removed it. I can't believe it.....can't just update an app to include mic button in toolbar like all other 99.9% of keyboards

I just went to try the Samsung keyboard and the mic is gone , that's just stupid

I found out why the mic was missing go to settings general management >keyboard list and default >toggle on keyboard button on navigation bar
