Greetings,

A friend of mine purchased a used Verizon S4 on eBay. When she received it, she noticed the "VOID" sticker on the phone that was located under the battery. Has anyone ever seen this before? I'm thinking it is not normal. She's emailing eBay seller to ask for an explanation.

Okay so someone was fiddling with the phone. To access parts of the phone it requires that the sticker is removed revealing the void letting the retailer know someone was messing with it ...

Here's the eBay seller's response:
"Sorry about that. The "Void" is the area where our Company Asset Tag was removed. When the asset is turned in and ready for sale we remove the sticker ("and the left Void residue) before selling as no one wants a company asset tag sticker. You can remove using alcohol and cotton swab. The phone still has warranty sorry for the confusion, I thought it was removed before shipping."

Sound legit?

The battery is removable without tools. There is no sticker there to hide access to screws.

Checked my phone.
Nothing there that would cause the "VOID" text.
Seller is probably telling the truth.

Sorry for the false info I thought that was the case as it is with some other phones
