VoLTE not working with T-Mobile, USA

i recently upgraded to the latest firmware.

model:SM-N9500 - purcahsed in Hong Kong

i am with T-Mobile in San Francisco, CA. I was able to use shortcut master to enable VoLTE before, with the latest firmware, i can't enable it and the VoLTE icon is grey out.

anyone knows how to fix this?

The 9500 isn't a TMobile variant, so don't expect tricks that work on one version of Android to work on the next one. The SM-950T gets updated with VoLTE changes, the 9500 doesn't. Someone's going to have to figure out how to get it working on the new update.

when i was on android 7, i was able to use shortcut master to overcome this. sadly after updated to android 8, shortcut master fails to work.

i am hoping some member has a work around.

Can you flash the Tmobile ROM via Odin maybe?
Have you got OEM unlock option in developer options?

i was not planning to flash the ROM. also, i do not see the OEM unlock option under developer option. what is that anyway?

Don't try to flash the T-Mobile ROM. It won't work and could brick your phone.

Edit: I take that back. You possibly could flash the T-Mobile ROM if your phone is Snapdragon. If it's dual SIM you could kiss that goodbye most likely. I'd check XDA for more info. Good luck in whatever you do.

I have WiFi Calling with the unlocked S10e with the Tmo sim inserted but I don't see a VoLTE icon anywhere or a way to enable it. I had no issues with either on my unlocked 6T.
