Hi everyone.

So I've had a galaxy nexus for about a week now and I love it overall. My only problem is the insanity I go through in the mornings when trying to snooze the alarms. I always set my alarms well before I have to be up because I don't wake up easily. Well by doing this I like to snooze a lot of alarms.

I have it setup in the alarm settings to snooze when volume is pressed yet no luck. Also I am using the default jellybean alarm app.

Any suggestions?

mine works just fine.

alarm went off, pressed volume Down, notification bar shows "alarm snoozed"--and when checking the notification bar it shows "alarm (snoozed).

just to confirm steps taken:
app drawer>clock>tap the "Alarm Set: (your date & time)>tap the 3 dots for Settings over all Alarms>tap Settings>tap "Volume Buttons" area on the screen>tap "Snooze">the app will then close out those settings.

to test, create an alarm for 1 minute from that point to verify it works. turn the screen off. when alarm sounds, press Volume Down or Volume Up.

i know this is really really basic instructions--but just for the off chance someone needs it this clear--there ya go.

I apologize for not replying sooner... I just googled this issue and found my own post. To confirm I did follow the steps exactly as suggested. No go.

So this issue seems to be intermintent. It works then doesn't then works then doesn't. This morning when using the slider for "disabling" the alarm it essentially just unlocked the screen nothing else. At that point nothing I did would disable the alarm or snooze it so I had to pull the battery.

This happens about 3 times a week and Google simply tells me "I dunno". This is one issue of about 20, I want to love this phone so bad but it's not helping me! Haha.

Thanks for any help

I would try other alarm apps and see how they work. If those don't work as well maybe buy a cheap battery operated clock with a snooze button?
