VPN Issues

This is really frustrating me. My internal network/router/etc is all set up to use PPTP VPN. It was working fine on my iPhone 4. I set up VPN on the Thunderbolt and it makes a connection fine. However whatever Remote Desktop app I use, none of them are making a connection to any of my home machines. It is NOT a port forward issue because like I said VPN was working fantastic on my iPhone previously so it should work normal on this phone.

Anyone else having issues?

anyone, this is starting to aggrevate me. vpn works fine via iPhone, but not android. it's something with android's vpn internal app.

Ok, there is definitely something wrong here. VPN connects via 4G and WiFi. Over 4G I cannot ping my internal network or surf the net. Over WiFi I can. When I use mobile hotspot, my computer can VPN in fine over 4G and get to other machines etc...
This is CLEARLY a VZ or HTC hardware issue.

BTW, no. VPN is still a mystery function so I've resorted to using LogMeIn. VZ blocks vpn access by default and you have to call them to get it unlocked. It's a HUGE PITA too.
That's probably because of the new Tiered data program coming up. The problem with VPN (from VZW's point of view) is that they cannot tell anything about the data inside of the VPN wrapper. VZW will need to know details about the data in the future in order to know how to properly bill for it. Hence, VPN would probably be a very big headache for VZW.
